C.F.Zincke circa 1730. A young lady in yellow.

This is an unusual form for Zincke whose miniatures are rarely rectangular.It is a very fine work, showing the young lady against a woodland setting, and wearing a gown of vivid yellow.It is set in a gilt metal, edge frame with scrolled surmount.

Henry Spicer. 1768 and 1769. A pair of portraits,

A pair of portrait miniatures on enamel,both signed with initials and dated on the obverse. The gentleman wearing a fine white jacket lined with purple velvet and matching velvet waistcoat is datd 1769. His wife wearing a pink satin gown with gold braided band, is dated 1768. Both are set in period gilt-metal frames.These enamels are very hard to photograph having dark backgrounds and curved glass. The reflections shown here are not on the enamels.

Gervas Spencer 175-. A young lady wearing a white gown with pink bows.

The enamel miniature is set in a gilt frame with ribbed edging,and solid reverse.It is signed with initials and dated 175- on the obverse.The picture shows some bad reflections, due to the covering glass and dark background, these are not on the miniature itself.
